Happy New Year!
I made this card as a guest designer for the Time Out Challenge #279 themed "Beginnings."
Come play along with me!
This might be a great time to start a new habit or break an old one, whatever your resolution(s) for the new year might be . . . Can I give up cookies or chocolate? Unlikely! But maybe I can exercise more to lower my cholesterol and lose a few pounds.
These little critters are ready to start a new chapter as they welcome in 2025.
This challenge is sponsored by Doodlebug, WA -check them out with the link on my sidebar; they carry many of our favorite crafty brands!
I used lots of Lawn Fawn products here: Window Scene: Winter, Little Woodland Library and Fireworks hot foil plates done with Rainbow Dreams deco foil. I colored the critters with Copic markers; blended the sofa, sky and sentiment strip with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Oxide inks from Tim Holtz. The whimsical wallpaper is from my stash - I think it's an old pattern from HoneyBee Stamps. The fireworks are seen through the Small Madison Window from Poppy stamps with a little acetate/packaging for a glassy effect.
Aww.. what a cute card! I almost want to poke them... look outside the window, it's fireworks, you can read later 🤠What a great card Ellen! Love the way you thought of combining so many elements and execute it so beautifully. Thank you for this amazing inspiration and joining us at Time out :D Happy New year to you and the cute critters ✨
ReplyDeleteWelcome Ellen! What an adorable and cozy scene with the little cuties reading while the fireworks are lighting up the sky outside. What a great new year's card!
ReplyDeleteI just love the little scene you created and the critters all cozy and reading while the fireworks are sparkling outside. Such a fun card. Love the "wallpaper" too. Thanks so much for helping us ring in the new year at Tome Out as Guest Designer. We hope to see you in the gallery often!
