Texting HB2U
This is what I came up with for my son's 14th birthday card (on my second attempt)! The first one I made would have caused him to roll his eyes and, though he might have found it funny, would have reinforced his impression of how technologically inept I often am! In my first attempt, I accidentally glued the cell phone cover over the acetate & greeting with the little round button part on the top! I failed to notice it until after I had firmly pressed down on the adhesive, making it impossible to pull off and reset! OMG! How could I do something so stupid? It wasn't hard, really! Since he didn't want to celebrate his birthday with cards & gifts until after school, I had all morning to recreate it. Phew! This one may not be perfect, but at least it's less embarrassing!
Supplies: Clearly Besotted "Text Me", Cuttlebug Wedding Suite embossing folder, clear acetate and embossing powder, Stampin' Up! dimensionals, Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, and Gumball Green cardstock and ink.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Here's the card I meant to put in the mail for my Mom last week -ooops! I got busy planning & hosting a major party this past weekend and didn't get it in the mail, but it's the thought that counts, right? I'm sure she won't mind getting it a few days late.
I love this little monkey as well as the sentiment, and have used them in the past for my son's St. Patrick's Day birthday cards, but now that he's a teenager, he's tired of the shamrocks, leprechauns and pots of gold (though it's hard to get away from them altogether when you're born on 3/17). I made him a non-holiday themed card this year, but couldn't resist creating something seasonal for the "Mom blog" he likes to tease me about so much!
Supplies: Lucky Changito by Stampendous, clear rubber stamp sentiment*, Stampin' Up! Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Glorious Green, Creamy Caramel, and Whisper White card stock, Ranger Glossy Accents, nesting tag dies, Copic markers, and Cuttlebug Divine Swirl embossing folder.
* Here's the St. Patrick's Day stamp set for which I can't identify the origin. Let me know if you recognize it; I'd be happy to give the appropriate company credit!

Neapolitan Greetings!
The love of ice cream runs in my family, so once the temperatures start climbing back into the 70's (yes, already!), we enjoy ice cream and sugar cones! I"m so thankful my sister gave me this fun set of ice cream dies (they cut and emboss)! I used random scraps of paper for the ice cream and cones as well as a colorful scrap of patterned paper I found for the sentiment (origin unknown). The vanilla is probably a SU! natural white, I added some strawberry bits to the pink paper, and the chocolate I spritzed with some platinum shimmer spray to create a relatively simple card to celebrate any happy occasion!
Supplies: Simon Says Stamp! Ice cream cone dies. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Stampin' Up Bashful Blue & Baja Breeze cardstock & ink, Paper Trey Ink Mat Stack 7 sentiment, All Night Media Splatter (strawberry bits) Tsukneko platinum ink and dimensionals.

Happy National Craft Month!
We spent part of this past weekend in Fort Valley, the heart of Peach County, Georgia; so what better way to welcome March (also known to some as "National Craft Month!") than a card with peaches and green! Though they're obviously not in season yet, it was nice to see the healthy little peach trees growing alongside the towering pecan groves as we drove through this part of the state. Fresh peaches are so delicious, my mouth waters just thinking of them! I hope you find this card whets your appetite for crafting this month!
Supplies: Lockhart Stamp Co. peaches stamp, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic and Floral Ovals, generic grosgrain ribbon, Stampin' Up Whisper White, Peach Parfait and Wild Wasabi cardstock, My Digital Studio patterned paper, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, dimensionals and assorted Copic markers.
